Costa Grill Restaurant Rawai Beach

Celebrated my birthday with my whole family (7pax) here and it was one of the best dinner I ever had! Their truffle brie soup is to die for! They gave us discount for the Tomahawk as it was my birthday and was given two lava cakes with joyful birthday greetings and songs! At first we thought it doesn't make sense to dine western style when you're in Thailand but this one is definitely worth a try. Food and service is really good. We spent almost 7,000 baht for a 1.4kg Tomahawk, lobster, truffle brie soup, 2 orders tataki tuna salad and 1 order tuna+salmon sashimi and drinks. No reservation needed, we just walked in. Unfortgettable food! 💯💯💯

On our arrival at Costa Grill we were warmly greeted by staff and shown to our table. After ordering drinks we were served complimentary crisp bread and dip, a nice touch. Costa Grill is beautifully decorated, has numerous seating options, and has a very warm and inviting ambiance. We immediately felt very comfortable. We ordered lamb shank with fries and roast chicken with mashed potato. Unfortunately the lamb shank was served with mashed potato but we did not complain. Our meats were both fine, well seasoned and tender and the accompanying sauces complimented our dishes nicely. However, our meal was let down somewhat by the veg. The carrots were undercooked. And the mashed potato, probably the worst we have ever had, bland and watery with that distinct taste potato's have when they have been reheated, very disappointing to say the least. It was only the addition of the sauce that made them edible. Being a French establishment we were expecting the potatoes to be creamy and buttery but alas no. After finishing our meal we asked the waiter if we could see the menu again as we wanted dessert. Sadly there were no desserts displayed in the menu so we went without. Whilst the veg spoiled our meal somewhat we still enjoyed our evening. The French red wine was very good and the general atmosphere within the restaurant was very pleasant and relaxed. We will visit again, but next time no mashed potatoes! Our bill, with drinks, came to a very reasonable 1600 baht, and cards are accepted with 3% surcharge.

Quite simply the best Caesar in all of Thailand! And I know Caesar. It's proper with anchovies, lemon, garlic aplenty in the dressing and (there still is a God!) no bacon!! Bacon doesn't belong, it's the wrong fat and the wrong salt for the right Caesar, and Costa rocked it right on! My crab cocktail was beautiful ,flavorful and creative. The house Pino Noir over-achieves.🍷 One complaint: I will go broke with the broad and deep menu! 😊😋

I went last year, it was great : the environment, staff, yummy steaks - I went back this week for dinner and was a very different experience. Staff was not super enthusiast except 1 waiter that was friendly, my meat was rare instead of medium-well (had 2 ask 2 times to cook it again as the first time it returned the same) and was not very tasty. I was excited to bring a friend, disappointing.

We went as a group and some dishes were ok some were not good. Complimentary crispy bead and dip and warm bread roll baked in the pizza oven were good.Chicken caesar salad was fabulous, pineapple seafood fried rice was delicious, fish dish was cold, chops not cooked as requested, burgers could do with more flavour. Desserts were delicious, the banana crepe was spot on! the staff were friendly and spoke English well. Food was served quickly and all together.
